Location/Team

EAST COAST PITCHING

East Coach Pitching facility is used for private training lessons, and specialty instruction. With multiple batting cages and pitching lanes, the Wareham location is great for both team training and individual instruction.

CHOOSE YOUR TEAM

Gateway Baseball Inc. has been in the habit of doing our very best to promote our local youth to gain the opportunity to play the game of baseball and softball. We realize that there are many other healthy activities that one can get involved with and we highly recommend a variety of them, but it has been our passion to give back for the betterment of the community and to the game of baseball and softball.

OUR TEAM

Gary Gallagher is one of the founding members of Gateway Baseball Inc. and serves as the Wareham Post 220 Jr. Legion Baseball Head Coach. Gallagher is 1986 graduate of Walpole High School and after a distinguished playing career, Gary was rewarded with a full scholarship to play baseball at the University of Hartford, where he spent 4 years from 1986-1990, playing with and against many players that would wind up in Major League Baseball, most notably his roommate, hall of famer Jeff Bagwell. When his playing career came to an end, he moved on to coaching and instructing. He began his coaching career in 1991 at Mansfield High School as the team's pitching coach. In 2001 he began instructing pitching lessons at Mo Vaughn’s Hit Dog Training Center in Stoughton, MA. From there, Gary moved on to Baseball Unlimited, where he honed his skills as a hitting instructor as well as a pitching coach from 2003-2008. In 2009 an opportunity to instruct closer to home was offered to him at the former Cage in Marion, MA, where he spent another 9 years developing local baseball talent, as well as coaching his own son’s Little League and Babe Ruth teams. In 2017 Wareham Legion Baseball Post 220 decided to add a Junior Legion team to their mix and offered Gary the head coaching position. Since then, his teams have either won the district title or been in the championship game every year.  Gary serves as the President of Gateway Baseball Inc. and while he continues to instruct locally, he hopes to have a training facility in his own community someday.

Keith Delgado is one of the founding members of Gateway Baseball Inc. and serves as the Wareham Post 220 Sr. Legion Baseball Head Coach. Delgado is a 1990 graduate and former student-athlete of Old Rochester Regional High School, entering his 16th year with American Legion Baseball. He has twenty-seven years of coaching/military experience and currently serves as an Active Duty Bioenvironmental/Industrial Hygiene Superintendent at Otis Air National Guard Base on Joint Base Cape Cod. Delgado is the Vice President of Gateway Baseball Inc. and also serves as the Massachusetts American Legion Baseball District 10 Chairman for Barnstable, Plymouth, and Dukes Counties.
